Your place in the
Cardano ecosystem.

Lace Wallet Extension is a browser wallet designed to make interacting with Cardano feel approachable. It gives you a personal interface for receiving, holding, and sending supported digital assets, while keeping control of your wallet credentials in your hands. Think of it as a window into the network: the extension helps you prepare actions, while the blockchain records them.

A wallet does not store coins in the way a physical purse stores cash. Your assets are recorded on the blockchain; your wallet manages the keys that let you access and authorize activity associated with your addresses. That distinction is useful from day one. Your recovery phrase is the backup to that access, not a routine password-reset code—and anyone who obtains it may be able to control your funds.

02 GETTING STARTED

Begin with the source.

Start at Lace’s official website and follow its current installation instructions. Check the web address before adding an extension: search ads and look-alike pages may lead elsewhere. Review the permissions your browser displays, and continue only when they make sense to you.

During setup, write your recovery phrase down privately and keep it somewhere safe and offline. Never share it with support staff, a website, or anyone offering to “verify” your wallet. A legitimate helper does not need your phrase. Take your time, and read each prompt before confirming.

03 EVERYDAY USE

Move at your own pace.

Before sending an asset, check the recipient address, network, asset, amount, and displayed fee. If you copy and paste an address, verify its beginning and end before proceeding. Blockchain transfers are generally difficult or impossible to reverse once confirmed, so pause to check every detail instead of rushing through a prompt.

Staking lets Cardano participants explore delegation through their wallet. Delegating is not the same as transferring assets to a pool operator, but choices and outcomes can change. Read the current wallet guidance and understand the terms before you decide. This overview is educational, not a promise of earnings or financial advice.

04 A SAFER ROUTINE

Keep the keys yours.

Keep your browser and operating system current, protect your device with a strong passcode, and install wallet software only from verified sources. Treat urgent messages, giveaways, unexpected support chats, and links asking for recovery details with skepticism. If something feels wrong, close the message and find the official site yourself.

Review transaction details in the wallet before you approve them. Keep your recovery phrase private: do not photograph it, save it in an unprotected note, or enter it on a page at a stranger’s request. Anyone with access to that phrase may be able to control your funds.

05 CONTINUE EXPLORING

Stay curious. Stay careful.

Wallet features and setup steps may change, so use this article as a starting point, not a substitute for current documentation. Visit the Lace website for product information and the official Cardano documentation to learn about the network. Compare trustworthy sources before making decisions about your funds.

The most useful wallet is one you understand. Learn how recovery works before you need it, keep control of your access details, and take time to review every approval. A thoughtful start is simple: understand the basics, verify your source, and stay in charge of each choice.
